CLOVER, S.C. -- This winter's snow and ice has wrecked havoc on local roads.

Residents in the Faulkner Ridge neighborhood of Clover called NewsChannel 36, saying Faulkner Road off Highway 161 is in especially bad shape.

"Driving conditions aren't the best," said resident John Summer.

If you cruise along Faulkner Road, you will discover Mother Nature's obstacle course.

"Since the snow melted, the road melted," Ann Cooper said.

In some spots on the road, the pavement is completely worn away.

"We need a whole new road, but a fix would be good," Cooper said.

South Carolina Department of Transportation officials say they have been contacted about Faulkner Road and they're in the process of looking into resurfacing it this summer.

In the meantime, crews will temporarily fix potholes on the road.
