CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Farmers at a local pumpkin patch say a bumper crop has really spurred business this year.
Hall Family Farm at 10713 Providence Road West in Charlotte is expecting one of their busiest weekends yet. The Hall’s say this year’s pumpkins crop produced pumpkins so big, even they were surprised.
If you're looking for something fun this weekend, this just might be your ticket. While visitors can certainly choose from a selection of pumpkins, the farm also offers hay rides and a corn maze. The maze is new and is about two miles long.
The Hall's said they guarantee it's tricky enough to confuse even the most seasoned maze expert. This marks the second fall the Hall’s are hosting visitors, but they say they enjoy it as much as their guests.
"Seeing the families come out and seeing the kids have so much fun” is Lisa Hall’s favorite part. “Seeing them play out here with their kids.".
That Hall Family Farm is open Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays.
