CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- One person was injured in a hit-and-run incident in north Charlotte Monday afternoon.
The accident happened at North Poplar Springs Drive and Gibbon Road around 12:30 p.m. Monday.
Emergency officials said one person was injured and taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police tell NBC Charlotte, a vehicle occupied by three men drove by the pedestrian and "struck him with an unknown object." It's not clear what object was used to hit the man.
Officers later located the vehicle with all three men inside.
Police have charged Charles Camp and James Horne with assault with a deadly weapon. Clayton Rumlin is charged with aiding and abeting.
