CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg police arrested nearly a dozen people at a DWI checkpoint in northeast Charlotte late Thursday night.
In all, 11 people were arrested at the checkpoint along Sharon Amity Road. Five people were charged with DWI and 117 charges were handed out.
Thirty two people were charged with driving with a revoked license, two for having an open container and five on drug-related issues.
The checkpoint lasted from 11 p.m to Friday at 3 a.m.
