More than 60 years ago, as World War II was drawing to a close, Army Colonel Harold Van Heuvelen composed a symphony detailing the story of the war and the peace that was emerging.  For decades, that music lay dormant.  But this week, the US Army band performed the symphony in Washington DC, giving the composer his first chance to hear the work he created six decades ago.
