WEBSTER, Texas -- There is good karma on the way for some Goodwill store employees in Texas.
A worker inside a Houston-area Goodwill put aside a pair of shoes a customer donated after finding them filled with cash.
Over the weekend a man brought in the shoes and some clothes to the Goodwill store in Webster. An employee noticed something stuck inside one of the shoes - and discovered it was a large was of $100 bills.
The total ended up being about $3,300. The store set aside the money for seven days to see if anyone would claim it. Sure enough, a woman did.
It turns out the woman's husband had given away the shoes, not realizing his wife had been stashing their life savings inside.
An employee gave the woman her money after she described how much she had lost.
