A disturbing internet video shows a man apparently whipping two girls with a cord from a video game.
The man in the video, who is believed to be the girls' father, claims he was beating them because they were dancing suggestively on Facebook.
The man could face criminal charges.
It is unclear who recorded the incident.
The video, however, is bringing light to the serious problem of child abuse, a crime in which Bexar County leads the state.
The video surfaces on the first day of National Child Abuse Prevention Month, the same day that Bexar County's child advocates planted more than 6,300 pinwheels in the front lawn of Child Safe. Each pinwheel represented a case of child abuse reported last year. The 19 white pinwheels on the lawn symbolized a child who lost their life to abuse.
