CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Three people were injured in an accident in east Charlotte late Tuesday morning.
The accident happened on the outbound lanes of Independence Boulevard near Alebmarle Road around 10:30 a.m.
An SUV flipped on its side after colliding with a car. Three people were injured in the accident, and two suffered potentially life-threatening injuries, according MEDIC.
All three victims were taken to Presbyterian Hospital.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have reopened all lanes on Independence Boulevard.
