Two women leave a baby on a train platform, but police say no charges will be filed.
Surveillance cameras caught it on tape. The baby was left all alone.
Police say the baby's mother and grandmother were using the same punch pass during the handoff, and no one remembered the baby.
A cashier called police, who found the frantic grandmother and mother, and re-united them with the child.
SEPTA Police Chief Thomas Nestle says, “I support the decision that the officers made and the supervisor at the scene made. I think that it was a compassionate decision, and some of you know that if there was just cause to make an arrest that I would order an arrest. In this case, I support what the officers did."
The grandmother and 15-year old mother also left their purses behind. Police say this, too, showed the incident was purely accidental.
