Thanksgiving? Christmas is what's on the mind of many shoppers -- or Christmas shopping, that is.

Before the impending shopping spree of the year, check out everything you need to know about Black Friday.

The basics (Some of the below ads are "leaked." Check with the store to be sure of prices.):

Best Buy Stores - Open at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving until 10 p.m. on Friday.

Keep in mind:

  • Most advisors say be early. Not all of us want to shop on Thanksgiving, but the early bird gets the worm. Walmart's even offering rain checks on certain doorbuster deals if the store sells out of an item within an hour.
