CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Two people were injured during a Monday afternoon wreck just north of uptown Charlotte.
The incident took place around 4:30 p.m. in the 2300 block of Statesville Avenue and at least one vehicle overturned during the crash.
Two people were seen being taken away on stretchers around 4:45 p.m. They were transported to Presbyterian Hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries, according to the Charlotte Observer.
It took more than a dozen firefighters about 15 minutes to rescue the patients, according to the Charlotte Fire Department.
It's unclear what caused the wreck.
