CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- There is a chance for more storms later this afternoon and evening.
The isolated storms could produce heavy rain and strong winds for parts of the Charlotte region this afternoon and into the early evening hours.. Chance for rain is at 50 percent.
Today will be humid and with the highs in the mid 80s.
"There is a chance for storms this afternoon and into the early the evening," forecaster Larry Sprinkle said. "Nothing popping up on the radar this morning and early afternoon, but the chance for storm active remains in the later part of the afternoon."
Wednesday and Thursday is much of the same. With a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms Wednesday and Thursday. Morning lows will hang around in the low 70s with highs in the upper 80s to near 90°. The week ahead will be humid and sticky.
Friday and Saturday's rain and storm chances increase back to 40 percent due to a frontal boundary moving into the area.
