SALISBURY, N.C. -- Two teens were killed in a three-vehicle accident in Salisbury Thursday morning.
Authorities said the accident happened around 5 a.m. on Jake Alexander Boulevard near Dan Street and involved a scooter, delivery truck and Jeep.
James Dillon Logan, 18, and Dillon R. Robertson, 19, were on the scooter when it collided with a Jeep.
Salisbury police said the Jeep and scooter collided after the driver of the Jeep turned off Dan Street onto Jake Alexander Boulevard.
The collision caused the scooter to slide into the oncoming lane and under the delivery truck, which dragged the scooter several feet before stopping, according to police.
The driver of the delivery truck was cited for not having an operator's license, police said.
Salisbury police reopened all lanes around 8 a.m. on Jake Alexander Boulevard between Dan Street and Industrial Drive.
