Police: Man charged in Charlotte hit-and-run

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police arrested a man involved in a hit-and-run last Friday night.

The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. in the 6100 block of Regan Drive.

A woman hit by the car suffered critical injuries in the collision. The driver also struck a man, who is listed in stable condition. Both were transported to CMC Main for treatment.

Police located the suspect vehicle after being flagged down by a concerned citizen.

The vehicle was impounded and after an investigation James Colvin was arrested and charged with two counts of felony hit-and-run and driving while license revoked.

Colvin was transported to the Mecklenburg County Jail and is currently in the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff.
