GRANITE FALLS, N.C. -- A Granite Falls family is offering cash for a conviction in their father’s murder.

Someone shot and killed Tony Myers in December 2009 at his family’s Gun and Pawn Shop. Now his family offered a six figure reward to help find the murderer.

"It's a business transaction, you give us something, we will give you something," said Jody Myers, son of the murder victim.

$100,000 in cold, hard cash for information to put his father's murderer in jail.

"It's that simple," says Myers. It's been three years since his father, Tony Myers, was shot and killed inside their Gun and Pawn Shop, and they believe money talks.

"I believe the person who did the crime and killed my father confided in someone they've done this," said Myers.

In January 2011 police found several firearms the suspect stole from the shop tossed on the side of Highway 321; they had been altered, but so far no suspect has been named.

Granite Falls Police Department declined to speak with NBC Charlotte about the case saying they plan on releasing new information soon, just not today.

But we did speak with the family's private investigator, Steven Ehlers, he says they haven't run out of evidence to test.

"There's still things that have not been processed and that's been for specific reasons. Sometimes you process them after you develop a particular suspect for comparison purposes," said Ehlers.

Ehlers says they're also working with the FBI to develop a psychological profile of the suspect.

"This case will be solved, just like the Jonesville case of the police officer 14 years later. It will be solved, so if you're out there and you want $100,000, you can come get it cause it's going to be solved with or without you," said Ehlers.

Which is why Myers says if you know something and want a suitcase full of cash, speak now or you'll lose out.

"The guy that committed the crime has just been real lucky, just very lucky. But his luck is going to run out soon ," said Myers.

In addition to the $100,000 offered by the family there is $11,000 in Crimestoppers reward money being offered. You can call in anonymous tips to Granite Falls Police at (828) 396-3358 or Crimestoppers at (828) 758-8300.
