(WXIA) Like the mastermind behind Concealed Carrie, there's more to these purses than fashion.

Leslie Deets co-owns SharpShooters USA in Roswell.

Like most gun shops across metro Atlanta, its fastest-growing customer base is women, especially since debate over gun control hit Congress.

But with no easy way to carry their licensed, concealed weapons, many women began leaving their guns behind.
That's where Carrie comes in.

"More and more women want to protect themselves, and they're not willing to compromise fashion for function," Deets said.

Her Concealed Carrie purses each have a separate pocket to keep a gun, and a zip side that allows the user to keep one hand on the weapon, or even shoot through the purse.

Concealed Carrie purses run between $200 and $300.

Hundreds of the high-end, fashionable bags have been sold so far.

Deets got word this week that outdoor sporting goods store Cabela's will soon carry the line.

The most popular styles are on back order.

Deets said it's proof , like her pink gun, pink target and modern shooting range, that women are carrying more influence in the gun world.
