CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Did you know that two of our Presidents were born in the Piedmont region?
Andrew Jackson was born in Waxhaw and James K. Polk’s birthplace is near Pineville, North Carolina.
On Friday morning on Larry’s Look, Larry got a special tour of the area where President Polk was born.
Larry and a group of third graders from Elon Park Elementary School were there to learn about life in the 1790s and early 1800s. They also checked-out the Polk Museum that’s on the property.
