CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Awards season officially kicks into high gear with Sunday's Golden Globes ceremony at the Beverly Hilton hotel.
“Lincoln” has the most Globe nominations, picking up seven. But this Hollywood awards show typically likes to spread its love around — that could make for a livelier red-carpet spectacle.
“Argo” and “Django Unchained” were close behind with five nominations apiece. “Zero Dark Thirty,” “Les Misérables” and “Silver Linings Playbook” each received four.
The Golden Globe Awards are viewed in more than 160 countries worldwide and are one of the few awards ceremonies to include both motion picture and television achievements.
The show can be seen on NBC Charlotte starting at 7 p.m. this Sunday night.
This morning on Larry’s Look, Dave Karger joined us to talk about the Golden Globes. He’s the chief correspondent for Fandago and had some great insight into the possible winners this year.
He also explained the major difference between the Oscars and the Golden Globes and how the winners are picked.
Karger also said that winning a Golden Globe doesn’t necessarily guarantee an Oscar victory!
