CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating a bizarre shooting in east Charlotte.

A 24-year-old father of two who did not want to be identified said he was helping his mother move into some apartments off Wendover Road on Saturday night when a car pulled up.

The victim said he had no time to react.

"He rolled down the passenger window.  I didn't know what type of gun he was shooting.  I didn't try and figure that out.  But he shot three times.  Boom, Boom, Boom.”

The 24-year-old says he feels lucky.

“I didn't move I just stood there," the man added.  “I was in shock because I thought I had got hit.  I probably would have been dead,” said the victim.

Police don’t have a motive in this case, and no arrests have been made.

"I couldn’t' sleep for the past two nights,” the man said.  “Hopefully tonight I can sleep."
