CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Santa doesn't always get it just right. So lots of people hit area stores on Wednesday, making returns and taking advantage of some pretty good after Christmas deals.
The weather outside was frightful, but when the sun came out it was delightful.
“Today is one of the busiest shopping days of the year,” Scott Anderson says. He does marketing for Carolina Place Mall and noticed the crowds picking up shortly after the rain stopped.
“There are some great deals out there they get the holiday money and they want to come spend it or they are deal savvy shoppers ,we see a lot of same folks as on Black Friday,” he said.
Many of the sales continue through the new year.
