Police: Man attacked customers at Concord Mills

 CONCORD, N.C. -- A man has been arrested for a reported assault at Concord Mills mall.

Police say David Simpson, 32, assaulted several people with his fists and broke a display case.
 
Simpson also allegedly tried to steal a vehicle but was unsuccessful. He was taken into custody in the parking lot.
 
The motive is unknown.
 
The victims suffered minor injuries.
 
Simpson is charged with possession of cocaine, robbery, two counts of assault on a female, simple assault, resisting arrest, property damage and disorderly conduct.
 
He was also served with outstanding warrants for disorderly conduct and resisting from Rowan County.
