ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Emergency crews are on scene after rescuing a man who nearly drowned in the Catawba River in Rock Hill Wednesday afternoon.
The incident took place around 2 p.m. about one mile of the Riverwalk trail head, according to the York County Sheriff's Department.
The man is conscious and breathing, officials said, and he was transported to a nearby hospital.
Officials said the man was in a raft with three other people and fell out.
The name of the victim has not been released.
