CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating an attempted murder suicide that happened on Sunday evening.
Investigators tell NewsChannel 36, this all happened at the Sharon Pointe Apartments Sunday around 8 p m. The call came in for assault with a deadly weapon.
When authorities arrived they found a man and woman who’d been shot.
The woman, who has not been identified, was transported to Carolinas Medical Center where she is in critical condition. The man was pronounced dead on the scene. The identity of the man has also not been released.
Investigators believe the man shot the woman and then turned the gun on himself. Detectives are trying to determine if anyone saw or heard anything.
