ALBEMARLE, N.C. -- Detectives are conducting a homicide investigation after the owner of an Albemarle business was shot and killed Halloween night.

It happened around 6 p.m. at B & G Coins near the intersection of West Main Street and Concord Road.  This is Albemarle's first murder of 2013.

Surveillance video showed the suspect, a man, knocking on the door to the business and the owner opening the door for him.  Then roughly 20 minutes later, the suspect comes out of the business and loads items into the store owner's truck before driving off.

Police say the store owner was shot and rushed to the hospital where he died late Thursday night.

Police are actively looking for that truck, a newer model white Ford F-150 with a North Carolina tag ZRT-3645.

Anyone with information about this shooting should call the Albemarle Police Department immediately.
