MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. -- More people filed for unemployment in Mecklenburg County in November.
The new numbers from the state show unemployment in Mecklenburg County reached 9 percent in November. That's up from 8.7 percent in October.
Statewide, the unemployment rate is 9 percent.
But some of the numbers are just shocking: In Swain County, unemployment has reached more than 13 percent.
In Scotland and Graham counties, it's about 16 percent.
