CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Special Olympics North Carolina is offering a unique event that stands above the rest.
Over the Edge is geared toward the fearless or those looking to overcome their fears. Go Over the Edge will raise funds (and your heart rate) to support over 38,000 Special Olympics North Carolina athletes.
Individual participants who raise a minimum of $1,000 will have the once-in-a-lifetime experience of rappelling down 23 stories off the Fifth Third Building in Uptown Charlotte.
Susan Doggett, Development Director of Special Olympics North Carolina, joined us this morning on Larry’s Look.
She talked about this very unique event and how important it is to the organization. They hope to have at least 80 people sign-up to take the challenge.
That would be $80,000 for Special Olympics North Carolina! It will take place Saturday October 12th from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
