CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Construction on the new BB&T ballpark is almost complete.
This morning on Larry's Look, we got a behind-the-scenes look at the park. Even on a cold winter's day, the ballpark is impressive--right in the middle of uptown Charlotte.
Larry, along with photographer Reuben Wallace, explored the Knights new facility---from the very top all the way to the great seats at the 315' mark in right field.
There's not a bad scene anywhere for the 10,000 baseball fans who can fill the park to capacity.
The team is expecting around 600,000 people the first year. The stadium will also be used for concerts, festivals, and special events.
Of course, baseball is what it's all about---with home opener April 11th against store. But before that, Larry "took" the chance to throw-out the first pitch!
Thanks to Tommy Viola, Director of Media Relations for the Knights. He was our tour guide and had all the details about the ballpark and how it will impact the future of Charlotte.
