CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Joe Scarborough turned 50 in October 2012.
That half-century mark is reason enough to celebrate. but several months later he did something really monumental! On April 21st this year, Joe rolled the first 900 series in PBA history at the PBA Sun Bowl in The Villages, Florida.
Scarborough opened the first round of qualifying in the PBA50 Sun Bowl with three games of 300, throwing 36 consecutive strikes.
He was competing in his second event in the renamed PBA Senior Tour. Joe’s previous high three-game series was an 838 and he had bowled 14 prior 300 games.
This morning on Larry’s Look, Joe’s mission was to give Larry some tips on being a champion bowler.
The two met at 10 Park Lanes in Charlotte, where alleys are always active! Scarborough also talked about his incredible experience bowling three perfect games and how important it is to use the right ball.
