Danica Patrick was the talk of the racing world as she qualified fourth fastest at Pole at Charlotte Motor Speedway. It was her highest-ever non-restrictor plate qualifying result, with a lap speed of 193.334mph.
Jimmy Johnson is on the pole for the Coca Cola 600. Danica actually made history in 2013 when she won the pole for the Daytona 500, becoming the first woman in NASCAR history to accomplish the feat.
Friday morning on Larry’s Look, Patrick talked about her career and being part of Stewart-Haas Racing --- driving the #10 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet SS. She also spoke about an important way that everyone can support our military. It’s all part of the “Goodyear Gives Back” campaign. In fact, more than $800,000 has been raised in the last four years.
The NASCAR community is donating actual race items to this auction to raise money for this very patriotic cause, including Goodyear racing Eagles, stamped with the words “Support our Troops” which were used during the All-Star race the weekend of May 17.
