CHARLOTTE, N.C . -- It was all about fencing on Larry’s Olympics this morning.
Brian Toomey, coach and owner of Charlotte Fencing Academy, along with Miles Bengtson were in our studios. The two of them showed us the fine “points” of this sport -- that’s been a part of the modern Olympics since the beginning.
After a quick lesson, Larry suited-up and a had a spirited bout with Miles and actually got a decent score for his first time using an Épée, the thrusting weapon that’s used in the sport and targets the whole body.
