CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Gabby Douglas was a member of the U.S. Women's Gymnastics team at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

She won gold medals in both the individual and team all-around competitions. Douglas is the first woman of color and the first African-American gymnast in Olympic history to become the individual all-around champion, and the first American gymnast to win gold in both the individual all-around and team competitions at the same Olympics.

In December last year, Douglas released the inspirational autobiography," Grace, Gold, and Glory: My Leap of Faith", which tells the story of her rise to the top of the gymnastics world, the struggles she faced along the way, and her strong faith.

The book debuted at number 4 on The New York Times Young Adult Bestseller List.

This morning on Larry's Look, Gabby talked about her brand new book, "Raising the Bar".

She describes it as a big scrapbook with pictures, quotes, thoughts, and memories.

She also talked about her time in Charlotte, when she made a special appearance at the Democratic National Convention.
