YORK COUNTY, N.C. – A Sheriff’s Deputy in York County was not hurt when his patrol car collided with a deer over the weekend.

The dash cam video shows the patrol car hitting the animal moments after the driver took a sharp right turn.

There was only minor damage to the car during the collision on Saturday night around 9:25 p.m.

Experts say drivers should take extra precautions this time of year on the roads.  Watch for the signs, take it slow on those country roads and driving experts say never swerve to avoid a deer as that could cause a more serious crash.
