GASTONIA, N.C. – Crews were called to help put out a fire in Gastonia on Tuesday afternoon.
The old Parkdale Mill in the 1900 block of Ozark Avenue was being torn down when a fire erupted from the debris behind the mill around 2 p.m.
No one was hurt, officials said. The fire was put out by around 3 p.m., but crews remained on scene to investigate and clear the area.
