CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- An east Charlotte family was forced out of their home by an overnight fire.
The fire broke out around midnight on Tyrone Drive. Officials say the fire damaged a back bedroom.
They say at least eight people lived in the home, but no one was hurt. The Red Cross is helping the family find a new place to stay.
Officials said it’s still not clear what started the fire.
