A spanking over unpaid rent is whipping up a controversy in Waynesville, Ohio.
The owner of a market says his tenant owed him $2,800 in back rent. He told the 29-year-old man if he was going to act like a child, he'd be treated like one.
A police report says he made good on the threat, smacking the tenant on the bottom with his belt four times.
People who know the landlord are shocked, one saying “he’s a fine man” and “it’s very out of character for him.”
Neither the victim nor the landlord have spoken with the media.
