CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Michael Anderson is a sophomore at Central Academy of Technology and Arts in Monroe. He was among a select group of students who attended the 57th Presidential Inauguration----through the non-profit program Close Up.
Michael was the only student from the state of North Carolina to make the trip through the program. His six-day trip included lectures, workshops, sight-seeing, watching the inauguration, watching the parade and going to the Close Up gala.
Monday morning on Larry’s Look, we talked to Michael about his once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see an inauguration. It was his first time on an airplane and he had some pictures from that part of his trip and some great shots at all the events.
Michael even went to a special evening event with the group of students from 40 states. There were 2,100 specially invited students who participated in the Close Up Foundation trip to the Nation’s Capitol.
