Megabus passengers left stranded in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Nearly two dozen Megabus passengers were stranded in Charlotte on Sunday night.

The passengers were scheduled to transfer buses in Charlotte on the way to Philadelphia from Atlanta.
     
Passengers say when they arrived at the station in Charlotte, the bus they were supposed to catch had already left.

Several passengers refused to get off the bus and Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were called to the scene.

NBC Charlotte learned Megabus provide three hotel rooms for about 20 passengers that were stranded in Charlotte for the night.

They continued their travels on a bus that departed at 7 a.m.
