MOUNT HOLLY, N.C. -- Mount Holly police arrested a woman accused of shooting a gun at passing cars at the intersection of Belmont-Mount Holly Road and Beatty Drive Wednesday night.

Ashley Nicole Hunsucker, 26, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, assault by pointing a gun, discharging a firearm in city limits and going armed to the terror of the people.

Authorities said they received a 911 call about Hunsucker shooting at cars around 7 p.m.

Police said she parked a motorcycle at Long Johns Cycles, walked to the intersection and fired two shots at two random cars.

No one was injured in the incident, and the vehicles were not hit, according to police. Hunsucker is being held under a $5,000 secured bond.
