Police search for man who robbed Chester bank

CHESTER, S.C. -- Chester police are looking for a man who robbed a bank on Thursday afternoon.

Police said a man in his early 50s robbed the Spratt Savings and Loans Banking on Saluda Street around 3 p.m.

The suspect walked into the bank and demanded money, according to police.

The suspect is described as a white man about 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds with age spots on the right side of his faced.  He has curly, reddish hair. Police say he also walks as if he has a back injury or injury to his right leg.

He was last seen wearing a gray baseball cap, long khaki colored pants, and a blue and white checkered long sleeve shirt.
