CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police found an elderly man who suffers from dementia on Tuesday afternnon.
Police had been searching for 78-year-old Robert Lee Bowden who went missing from his residence on Lyttleton Drive late Monday afternoon.
Bowden left his home between 2:30 and 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Bowden suffers from dementia, which he was diagnosed with in the summer of 2011.
Bowden left his home in a dark blue 2004 GMC Sierra truck with North Carolina tags STR-8536.
Police said Bowden has been reunited with his family, and he did not suffer any injuries. Authorities have not said where Bowden was found.
