CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Fifty years after Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. marched for civil rights in Washington D.C., President Obama will address the public on the anniversary of the famous “I Have a Dream” speech.

Transportation secretary and former Charlotte mayor Anthony Foxx spoke to NBC Charlotte  about what the president is expected to say about the progress of the nation.
