CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A plane landed short of the runway at Charlotte-Douglas on Friday afternoon.
MEDIC tells NBC Charlotte the planes two occupants both suffered minor injuries after their single-engine plane landed short of the runway. Both passengers walked away from the aircraft.

The scene is in a grassy area, which appears to be airport property, near the intersection of Yorkmont Road and West Boulevard.
NBC Charlotte's Bill McGinty says the Cessna Centurion appears to have clipped a fence near the runway.
According to FlightAware, the aircraft is registered out of Merritt Island, Florida.
The Federal Aviation Administration says the plane departed from Columbia Metropolitan Airport.
Both patients will be transported to CMC Main.
West Boulevard was closed between Airport Drive and Yorkmount Road, but reopened shortly after 3:30 p.m.
The FAA is investigating.
