CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Logan Garcia is a happy healthy 4-year-old, who loves to play Angry Birds. His mother believes it's something of a miracle that he's still healthy.

"She says that she keeps hugging him and kissing him she just keeps thinking how much she values him and what could have happened," said Yadira Garcia his mother.

Charlotte Mecklenburg Police say Tuesday night around 8:45 a gun-battle broke out between two men on Spanish Quarter Circle.

A stray bullet went through the wall of Logan's bedroom. His mother found a hole about an inch to an inch and a half over his bed. The bed post was shattered and the bullet was lying in the floor.

"When she came in the room she felt something strong just thinking that her son could have been there and the consequences of what could have happened," said the mother through an interpreter.

Logan is normally in bed by 8 p.m., but Mrs. Garcia was running late, so he was in the living room playing Angry Birds.

Now she is angry with the men who could have taken her son's life.

"She feels these people don't value their families because they are out doing these stupid things," said Mrs. Garcia.

Police are trying to find the men responsible.
