BIHOR, ROMANIA -- When Romanian zookeepers released a lion into his new and larger enclosure he became agitated and tried to escape.
Tutu was shown his new and larger home Thursday but he didn't react like his keepers thought he would.
The new enclosure is larger with more amenities in accordance to European union regulations.
The six-year-old became upset after he brushed against the electrified fence and things got worse.
The lion panicked and tried to climb the fence. Later he jumped on the fence and held onto it.
His handler was preparing to shoot the animal with a tranquilizer gun but first tried to calm the lion by talking to him.
That worked and the lion calmed down and the tranquilizer wasn't needed.
