By all accounts, Joseph Gale shouldn't be alive.
"I just remember bits and pieces of it. I remember the log truck flipping and seeing the logs coming towards us," said Gale.
A log truck collided with a vehicle and lost its load, huge logs were catapulted across the median into oncoming traffic and one into Joseph and his wife’s Dodge Caravan.
Just moments before, they had dropped their children off.
"I couldn't imagine them being with us. I think it would have killed them. I'm just glad I wasn't killed. It was a miracle," said Gale.
Joseph has a few more days in the hospital, but will make a full recovery.
His wife received 29 stitches to her head, but is going to be just fine.
Joseph knows how close he came to death and even worse, what could have happened to his family.
"It was just centimeters. It could have killed me. It came through the window and hit my wife first and it hit me. It was straight through the window," he said, "It's a total miracle and I know that God has a plan for all of us and we are so very blessed."
