I brought this plant home several years ago. It is called a Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow because of the way it flowers. The first day the bud opens it is a deep purple color.The next day the color changes to a light purple. On the third day the flower is white. At any given time you can have 3 different colors of flowers showing. It is a tropical plant so it stays outside all summer and lives on the front porch in the winter. This is when it flowers and the blooms are extremely fragrant. It gives me something to look forward to every winter.
