Disoriented birds often fly into our large windows that look out over Lake Rhodhiss in Burke County, but most just leave a feather behind and disappear without a trace. This one left an imprint on the window that looks very similar to my naval aviator "Wings of Gold" insignia. I do not know what kind of bird it was, but the "wingspan" is about 18 inches.
