The Founding Fathers of our country were truly intelligent in their own time and could see what could cause problems in the future. Here are the three principles of the Founding Fathers that truly shaped the nation and it's about time we worked together and became not only American, but to join together for the betterment of humanity.
1. George Washington's Farewell Address warned about how dangerous political parties could be. Do I need to go on? Look at Democrats vs. Republicans and Liberals vs. Conservatives, how much the government has been tied up for all these years.
2. Thomas Jefferson was a true believer in Limited Government, as he and our Founding Fathers realized that if we cared about each other enough that we wouldn't need a big government to maitain society. If people cared enough about each other and humanity that we really wouldn't need a government and would just need to them maintain and regulate what was being controlled by the people. True democracy at work.
3. Religion was looked upon by most of the Founding Fathers as dangerous and a threat to society. They were either agnostic, deistic, or did follow Christianity. They saw that religion could be such a powerful force in America but that the extremists on both sides could really slow progress and reform in the country. Just with the sheer amount of churches in our country we could have them become the government. They understood the separation between Church and State. That's why we have the freedom of religion because it doesn't matter what you believe in as long as we all work together and strive to contribute and care about humanity in itself. The misunderstandings that have caused this backup of progress have bottled up this nation and haunted it's history for 250 some years now. It's about time we broke through and TRULY work together as our inteliigent and esteemed President Barack Obama has suggested. Government can pass laws, government can be our friends and want to help. It's time to end the graft and corruption in our government and work together for the common good. We can beat this recession and it starts today.
