MOORESVILLE, N.C. — A fundraising event was held Saturday to honor a fallen Mooresville officer killed in the line of duty in May.

In downtown Mooresville, the First Annual K9 Officer K9 Sheldon "Family Fun Day" event honored Jordan Sheldon.

Officer Sheldon was shot and killed on May 4 during a routine traffic stop.

This event was from 4 to 11 p.m. on Broad Street in Mooresville, with food, activities and live music.

All fundraising proceeds will go toward the K9 Officer Jordan Sheldon Memorial Scholarship Fund.
