CLEVELAND — The 2020 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will still take place in downtown Cleveland, only it will be much later than expected.

The Hall announced on Tuesday the ceremony will now be held on Nov. 7 at Public Auditorium, after the original May 2 date had to be scrapped due to the coronavirus pandemic. Gov. Mike DeWine has temporarily banned all gatherings of more than 50 people in Ohio in an effort to stop the spread of the virus.

In a change from previous years, HBO—which normally airs the induction each year but only weeks later and edited—will broadcast the celebration live starting at 8 p.m. This year's inductees include Depeche Mode, The Doobie Brothers, Whitney Houston, Nine Inch Nails, The Notorious B.I.G., T-Rex, Irving Azoff, and Jon Landau.

Tickets for the original date will be honored, and fans will not have to exchange them in order to see the show.
